Afi brings her unwavering commitment to social justice to Inside Edge, where she leverages her expertise in public health and community engagement to ensure marginalized communities receive essential support. Before joining Inside Edge, Afi gained valuable experience in the nonprofit sector, focusing on community-based projects that offered health education and services to newly arrived immigrants. She also worked with the New York City Department of Health, where she strengthened the capacity and preparedness of community organizations and stakeholders to tackle health inequities during the COVID-19 pandemic and the MPox outbreak.

Passionate about reducing disparities both locally and globally, Afi is dedicated to serving populations historically excluded from traditional health systems. Her journey reflects a deep commitment to fostering a more equitable world through human-centered, data-driven approaches.

Afi holds a Master of Public Health degree from the CUNY School of Public Health & Health Policy.
