Jose Lopez de Victoria Martinez, MPH

Jose Lopez de Victoria Martinez is an Epidemiologist and Public Health professional with extensive experience in data analysis, community health initiatives and applied public health.
Before coming to Inside Edge, Jose successfully contributed to various critical initiatives. He worked with the Puerto Rico Department of Health to advance innovative health solutions during the COVID-19 pandemic, which included developing public information campaigns aimed at raising awareness of mask wearing, vaccines and other prevention tools to aid in controlling, lowering rates of infection on the island. These efforts led to local and mobile joint testing/vaccination sites that made resources available to disadvantaged communities.
Jose was also a consultant on various projects, such as serving as the lead Epidemiologist and Infection Prevention Officer to the Puerto Rico Professional Basketball Association. He helped to tailor methodology and protocols that were essential in the organization and completion of a “Bubble” like the NBA Bubble where the regular season tournament was completed successfully amidst the ongoing pandemic.
Jose is a dedicated rescue dog dad who loves to throw down and try new recipes in the kitchen, enjoys cross training, weightlifting and racquet sports in order to stay active and cannot say no to a new stamp on his passport.
Jose obtained his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico.

“Make Well Known” means empowering everyone we work with through the connections, interactions, and knowledge bridged between the community and healthcare providers, to close the gap on obstacles to health.
